Think I'm getting it. I suspect the PlusNet kit I have is already a combined OpenReach modem/router.
Sam's tip was to ensure that the Asustek works the same? Nervous it's a lot of money but can only assume that the difficulties some of our devices have connecting are because it's a rubbish PlusNet router.
