Funny 19 year olds were mentioned, made me think of a story to prove my point. That the insurance law is what was at fault. I remember once years ago in Louisiana, a lady hit us in the rear in McDonalds parking lot. We both got out and looked, no damage was done to either car, /color>she hit me/color>, but I told her I wasn't going to call the cops unless she did. There was no damage, whatsoever to either car. For one my insurance was out, so I didn't want a ticket when I was the one hit and there was no damage. lol/color>/fontfamily>
She said fine, and we both left. I went from there to Krogers, she tracks me down at Krogers and calls the cops. Saying her husband said if anything were found wrong later on, the insurance company wouldn't pay otherwise. Geez...wasn't a scratch on either veichle. That to me says, the insurance laws need changed. Shouldn't the two owners have a choice whether to call or not, if there is no damage?/color>/fontfamily> But as the laws were written, they got called anyway. At least thanks to her goofy husband. lol/color>/fontfamily>
Same with the kid getting a fine, I would side with the Rev and say that would be one that should have been worked out between the parents and the person the kid ran into. But again, as the law was written..it left the cop no choice. At least from what I read...../color>/fontfamily>
