anyone know what the restrictions were put on the eating of blood in leviticus?Mainly, to be kosher animals have to be slaughtered according to certain rituals, one of which involves draining the blood. God probably had several reasons for this commandment: (1) blood is life, so is symbolic of sacrifice and eventually Jesus' own blood sacrifice; (2) blood is often quite unsanitary, so best not eaten; (3) many of the heathen nations used blood in their religious rituals.was it overall because blood is the lifeline or did i miss something?
Best wishes,
Lowell
