Hi All

I'm brand new to this group, and I have configuration question for a project on
Santa Cruz Island.

The context is that I am trying to send the signals from a couple of cameras
from one location on the island to another, about 1/2 mile apart.

At the camera end, I have an Axis Video Server, model 2400+, plugged into a
Linkysys WAP11. I have an omni antenna, 15db, attached to the WAP11.

On the receiving end, as I do not have good line of sight between the camera
end and my wireless Router (BEF11S4)(there are hills and trees), I have an
intermediate station that consists of a Bridge (WET11) and another WAP11. They
both have external antennas. There is decent line of sight between this station
and both the cameras and the Router.

They way I have it setup now is that the WAP11 at the camera is set as a
Wireless Repeater to the WAP11 that is connected to the Bridge. So, the bridge
talks to my Router and to the WAP11 that it's connected to (WAP'a'), and that
WAP can talk to the WAP that is at the cameras (WAP'b').

My problem is that I cannot talk to the video server that is connected by
Crossover cable to WAP'b'.

Prior to connecting WAP'a' to the bridge, I had it directly plugged into the
Router. With that, I was able to talk to the Video Server, though I only had it
and WAP'b' about 100 yards away. Once I moved WAP'b' and the server to its
location 1/2 mile away, I was not able to maintian the signal connection. I
looked at the Linkysys help pages, and there I found the info on using the
Bridge to extend the range. I have gotten that to work, with the one exception
of no longer being able to talk to the server.

So there is something that I am missing in this setup, but I do not know what
it is.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
