I hope someone in the SOCALWUG world might be familiar with Watchguard SOHO6
routers.

Watchguard SOHO 6 Wireless - first install - MODE light blinks

I am looking to install a used Watchguard SOHO6 Wireless in my network at
the urging of my WISP to replace Linksys routers which he has a very
negative opinion of.

I have duplicated all settings of the Linksys including the Spoofed MAC
address to substitute new router for old. The Linksys uses a cross-0ver cat5
connection to the POE of the WISP radio.

I have tried X-Over and Straight thru cable from POE to the the WAN port of
the Watchguard, but neither results in the MODE light to stop blinking AND
neither makes a connection to pull the IP from the radio's DHCP server.

According to the extremely poorly written manual:
"If the MODE light is [sic] blinks:
There SOHO 6 Wireless can not connect to the external network. Possible
causes of this problem include:
* The SOHO 6 Wireless did not receive an IP address for the external
interface from the DHCP server.
* The WAN port is not connected to another appliance.
* The connection to the external interface is defective.
* The appliance to which the external interface of the SOHO 6 Wireless is
connected is not operating properly.

The manual does NOT discuss, anywhere, what type of Cat5 connection is
needed to the WAN port. Nor does it say anything, anywhere whether the WAN
port is autosensing.

Someone has suggested LINK SPEED settings may be the issue but the poorly
written manual says next to nothing about LINK SPEED or its settings.

I would appreciate any thought and suggestions to get this running.
