www.Maxstream.net has a host of wireless RS232 devices. I've used their "Xstream" product for serial telemetry.

Installing my PV system, and the xantrex inverter http://www.xantrex.com/web/id/172/p/968/pt/2/product.asp has a RS232 (everyday serial port) for data logging. It's a 80' run from the garage, into the house, up a floor, and across a hallway, to the far wall, where a PC lives. Any good ideas (besides RS422 - still has a wire to run) for some sort of wireless RS232 adapter? I have an existing 802.11 router, but that's not serial protocol. The least favored option is to build up a win98se box, and dedicate it to being a relay point, I think the xantrex s/w supports FTP u/l to a web page/server. Ideas?
