I have an older watchguard, not the wireless, but I do have a thought... > According to the extremely poorly written manual: > "If the MODE light is [sic] blinks: > There SOHO 6 Wireless can not connect to the external network. I'm not /entirely/ sure, but I think the watchguard "phones home" (perhaps to check feature/license keys) and by "external", they really mean "the Internet proper" - we were going to use one to section off an internal, but unroutable, network (i.e., between two distinct 192.168 networks) and ran into a similar problem since these networks didn't get "out" to the internet either. You might try putting a protocol analyzer (ethereal) on the network and see what the box is doing. > I would appreciate any thought and suggestions to get this running. In your case, I presume that it should indeed have access to "the internet", but I wonder if you are behind other routers & firewalls? You might try hooking this directly to your incoming connection. Then again, you did say this was a used unit -- perhaps it's simply broken? - -- Top o' the Blog: It's good to be the King... http://osnut.homelinux.net/mtblog/ya_index.html -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEx4w+V/YHUqq2SwsRAqPhAKCUwGvusLkacU2MxjWdPWgQbQDbnACgo/wX KV1FULnoAwj2NbuYooA6REs= =AiF7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SOCALWUG" group.
