I'd like to know more about the wifi ferry.  Do you have anything online
about your setup?

What's the range and coverage of the backhaul?  I assume the ferry travels a
generally direct path between two points.  Do you use directional antennas
on each side of the bay?

It is possible to overcome most of these issues. We have a WiFi enabled
ferry in the Bay area that is working fine. It has WiFi on board, and a
WiFi backhaul link (by the way, shots to moving targets are a lot more
challenging).
