Maybe it would help if you apologized to Marco instead of retreating into self-righteousness. Marco is perhaps too much of a gentleman to say so, but your response to his slip suggests an intolerance -- if not outright bigotry -- that is shocking on an international forum. The offensiveness of your response is even greater considering that Marco is one of the leading journalists covering OpenOffice.org. His articles are always interesting and balanced, and have given the project some much-needed coverage. The fact that he has made this contribution in a second language makes them all the more praise-worthy. Given his contributions, he deserves not to be subjected to such a narrow-minded and vicious attack. That said, I don't support his petition. As you point out, it is unworkable. Moreover, I believe in free speech. However, I also believe in my own right not to be subjected to your posts. The way that you have consistently twisted other people's comments and your refusal to admit that part of the problem may be your tone and attitude overwhelm whatever insights you may have. As soon as I finish this message, I'm creating a filter to delete them on reciept. -- Bruce Byfield 604-421.7177 http://members.axion.net/~bbyfield
