I do not understand what you mean by technocracy. Etymologically it the word seems to mean *the rule of society by a technically savvy elite*. Is this what you mean by technocracy? If 'yes', then Social Credit *is* different. As a layman, I understand that SC is about a fair and universal distribution of the full benefits of the *progress of the industrial arts*. These benefits are enormous or, rather, the value of the opportunities to make vast profits thanks to modern technology, is enormous. Think of a world without railways, typewriters, electricity, the internal combustion engine -- not to mention the breakthrough-advances in the last sixty years of the twentieth century. Can one regard Social Credit as a mechanism for tapping into this *opportunity value* which is a heritage of the whole of society not only of the economic agents that utilise it?
