I have a net4251 with a 300mW ubiquiti src wireless card, and a 20Mb/1Mb internet connection. Debian linux is installed on the box.
I've enjoyed the box for a while now though upon testing my connection speeds on dslreports.com, routing through the soekris my ping to said server is 72ms, with both my download/upload maxing out at 1.5Mb. It should be said this choke is not coming from the wireless/hostap side, these test are being conducted on a wired interface out of the Soekris. The power supply to the box is not the beefier one, since i'm using a 300mW wireless card, i'm not sure if this could be causing an issue or not. The machine is running a dhcp server on a wired interface and a wireless one, a hostap server, and all routing is done with iptables. I can post my iptables rules on request, NAT is being accomplished through masquerading in the POSTROUTING table, with 3 PREROUTING rules providing port forwarding to a few machines. any help would be greatly appreciated. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Unacceptable-network-speeds-on-net-4521-tp21024397p21024397.html Sent from the Soekris - Technical mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list [email protected] http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
