Have you compared/contrasted performance with the soekris box removed? Unless you're gaming, a 72ms ping is fine ( in fact, a luxury... 64 bytes from cf-in-f99.google.com (74.125.19.99): icmp_seq=1 ttl=245 time=244 ms from here in New Zealand ). Is the internet connection wireless? If so, what is the signal quality and how powerful is your aerial?? I'd say there were a few things to check before blaming the soekris box for internet performance. Or have I misunderstood?
