I believe the software is still available. And it has been updated with
a waterfall display. However the problem is, it needs a genuine
sound card and will run only under DOS. I have an older version here
and one needs to have the sound card installed and a possible
on board sound card disabled. And running DOS.
I have a dedicated old machine here just to run DSPBlaster
A while ago I compared here Winrad to DSPBlaster and could not
really find much difference in detection limits. Also tried DSP blaster
after Winrad processing and that was better but not very practical.
( One soundcard's output into another on the DOS machine. )
I was mainly interested to see which of the 2 packages is better
to detect audio just above the niose where the trace is visible but no
audio is detectable other than noise
There is some more info about the software on:
http://www.nithawk.com/w3sz/ ( Look into the DSP introduction )
http://www.nitehawk.com/rasmit/dsp50.html
Alberto comments on the background and Bian's experiences and that is also
valid as far as DSPBlaster goes from the rumor mill.
