Rein, this is not necessary.  DSP Blaster switches very cleanly
between Windows and DOS.  Typically I have Windows programs such as a
browser/email/spam filter open, click on the DSP Blaster icon beneath
my screen and everything switches instantly to the DSP Blaster screen.
When I want to switch back, I click "Exit" on the DSP screen, and
everything in my previous Windows screen returns, just as it was.  Of
course you cannot have both DSP Blaster and Windows open
simultaneously but the transition is seamless (at least I felt 1 click
to transition was quite reasonable).

Thanks for the interesting comments.  I would like to try Winrad but
have not been successful thus far (maybe due to computer speed,
soundcard or ???).  BTW, DSP Blaster REQUIRES an ISA Soundblaster 16
card only...no others supported, but the recommended version is the SB
16 "Wave" or "Vibra 16" series.  Some SB 16 cards only have 8 bits D/A
but these two models have 16 bits D/A which eliminates the slight
output hiss you get if you only use 8 bit D/A.  These cards can be
found used for <$10 shipped.

Yes, I believe one can still buy DSP Blaster in the USA.  About a year
ago I told a friend about it and he was able to buy a copy.  I have
had nothing but excellent support from Brian on any of the programs I
have from him.
