I checked what you posted in SR40. No it is not the same note.
The article is composed of two pages and it gives interesting info.

some months ago I wrote a note as a message regarding IF monitoring 
with SR in the SR40 group, suggesting where to attach  the Softrock 
SDR to monitor IF ... at NB input, after 2nd mixer avoiding the 2nd 
IF filters. That is what our friends reported.

I will try to ask RSGB if I cn post that article on SDR newsgroup. I 
can do that for my notes, reporting copyright RadCom / RSGB, but I do 
not remember if they gave me the OK for others authors articles. 

You should join RSGB as an overseas member ... there are very 
interesting articles and the golden part is Technical Topics run by 
our glorious Pat Hawker, G3VA ... thanks to him RSGB has my 
continuous membership since end of 1965 .... hi
