Thanks John, I'm seriously looking at an Edirol FA66 external soundcard which has the 196khz capability. It seems more adaptable to a new system should I decide to upgrade my computer as well. And I probably should! A bit more up front, but still quite reasonable for the extra bandwidth and the speed of the firewire interface. In the meantime, is there an example of the switching circuit you can point me to? It may be wise to do his "on the cheap" for the present. Plenty of parts in the junkbox! Bruce - WB8OGK
