Tony, from the SoftRock40 fame, is coming out with a new SoftRock transceiver that will include the Si570 and a control with dip switches to select 16 band segments. I have a Si570 kit which includes a small board and the parts(except for the Si570). It may be hooked up to a controller or controlled from a PC parallel.(check the SoftRock40 group files area for details and software). KM5H has a group buy for the Si570. If you don't mind fine pitched IC's, I also sell a 995x kit the if fully populated becomes a multiband receiver with an AD995x(x = 1 to 4) dds and is controlled by the USB port and uses a sound card for processing. The receiver works from LF up to at least 75 MHz. I also have a BPF board that holds 6 band pass filters covering 1.5 to 30 MHz that is controlled by the PIC on the 995x board. Other ranges could be covered with different components. The dds_controller group has software for the 995x and other DDS's.
