All of them. Set the surface to Chord Length. SurfacePQ was saying
"reading just above Loft", moved it as instructed now it says "reading
just above Reparameterize Surface". Texture changed dramatically. Nice
trick! :) Still got some mild bunching of the texture on certain knots.
Cleaning the curves only helped marginally, but setting the loft
subdivisions per span ridiculously high in U seems to work even better.
Thanks much!

Which parameterizations did you try? Chord length sounds like what you want
(difference between UV parameter values is proportional to distance between
knots). However, make sure that the UV projection reads from above the
Reparameterize Surface op in the stack -- drag the SurfacePQ op (under the
texture projection definition) above Reparameterize Surface in the main
modeling stack. If you hover the mouse pointer over SurfacePQ, it should show a
pop-up telling you where it's reading from.
Also, it might help to resample your curves first to make them as clean as
possible.

Subject: Uniform UV texture
Hi yall,
I have a nurbs surface generated from bezier curves. The shape is a
simlar to the letter U in the Impact font. or The extrusion surface
length from tip to tip compromises the U(as in UV) direction. The knots
are not uniformly spaced out in U direction. The surface has a UV
texture projection on it. However I want a grid texture to be applied
uniformly across the U of the surface. I've tried cleaning,
reparameterizing, but neither help. The UV projection only provides
swap functionality. I've tried every projection available and can't get
the results I am looking for. Aside from manually plotting extra knots
in U direction is there a solution for this problem. Using Soft 2010sp1
at the moment.
Thanks
