The data that I would supply is everything that I want everyone to posses,
anyway.
As a freelancer, I want to spread my details to as many people as possible.
No bank account info or social security numbers are asked for, so I don't
see the
similarity to your obvious scam example.

The scam, that I did fall for, last year was an outfit that gave me a "test"
of Photoshop touch-up work for architectural work. I spent many hours
doing long, and involved, work to be notified that I "passed" their quality
requirements, and if I would just complete their next (longer) "test" job,
I would be accepted into their talent pool.

At this point, I realized they were getting free work from me.

So... maybe I am a little gullible, but I do not have my eyes shut. :)
