About tests.... if you have demo reel and history of works behind you then if anyone asking you to do test no matter of all supplied materials, you can just turn them down with piece at your heart. Scam example was a bit more of a joke. On one side this looks to be let me create a huge base of freelancers so I can have a pool of non staffed people to pick when needed and I don't need anyone on salary in studio to pay bunch of other stuff like health insurance and so... Take what you need when you need short term only. Dunno if it is like that but does look like. On the other hand you must admit that their tactic is working if that was a tactic, as thread is getting longer and longer :) so gratz on that ;)
