Image Modeller did go away but the tech behind it has come back as Autodesk ReCap - http://www.autodesk.com/products/recap/overview
123d Catch is just a simplified consumer version of the same thing. ReCap Photo is the pro version and offers greater flexibility. Essentially it's all cloud based, so you get your pictures upload them to our cloud, and then run ReCap photo, you can make tweaks and target points to improve the accuracy. Meshes can be generated in formats such as FBX (of course), OBJ, DXF, etc. You can then take them into ReCap Pro, which is a standalone desktop application for viewing scan data. You can then make various edits etc before them exporting your data. ReCap pro can also import scan data from other sources.
