If Henry Ford asked people what they want for transport, they´d say: Faster horses. This is the exact analogy with using 3d softimage. I can´t ICE-Rig yet, but once I crossed the scripting part of it in the old days, it totally changed my mind. That´s the "future" Autodesk hold softimage back from all the viewers. So in "this-2016-future" they release other mimic-ICE-tools so "traditional/average" people will look ahead with all the adventages which is to create and manipulate something procedurally speaking (I´m talking -ready -preset nodes and trees).
That´s the *moment* I originally posted this thread, that people´s percieving, even though SI community had it for years. But if you ask me, it´s easier to plug nodes on an ICE tree for normalizing blendshapes than it is to add custom parameters, and wire them afterwards to drive a bunch of divots. Ask what an average user would want after seeing that kind of workflow on ICE. And BTW, some of the brightest tools we got, are ICE based....so...."average" isn´t really the guy who just uses the GUI buttons ( With all due respect, and I don´t mean to be disrespectful by saying this) I tihnk is just a lack of options...
