Sven gave you clear overview of installation so yea first clear out any leftovers and mess and just use redshift exe installer it will setup everything needed. No extra steps needed at all. Also once you have that up and running and ready if you need some help feel free to send scene, if you can to me I can render it out on one of my machines with 4 Titan X GPUs, they got a bit more VRAM if that could be the case of crashing. Not a problem at all. ᐧ
