Dear Dave,

I would personally appreciate if you can draft your thoughts in form of an I-D 
before the meeting so that we can comment on them and discuss the points you 
are raising.

FWIW, draft-operators-softwire-stateless-4v6-motivation does not argue against 
stateful but it elaborates on a set of motivations to explain why stateless is 
also needed. -00 and -01 of the draft includes a set of open issues. That 
section has been removed because of the comments received in this list.

As for the point about failure modes, this is discussed in: 
draft-dec-stateless-4v6
