Originally, yes.
You can see my story about it at http://bpi.1e6.com - but the BPi
croaked about a year ago - and so I replaced it with a Raspberry Pi. I
choose Ubuntu because I use it on other servers.
Are there advantages to using Raspian?
I liked the Banana Pi because of its SATA connection and Gbit Ethernet.
The whole field of IoT is hard to imagine for us old timers....

Bill,
It seems to work, I'll pound on it a bit and let you know if anything goes

Joey,
I cross-compiled and uploaded a j805 beta libj.so for raspberry but I haven't
tested it. Please try if it works or not. Thanks.

Also, my apologies to Eric. He didn't say in his announcement, at the head of
this thread, that he had done a build for RPi (or any of the flavors of
Android).
Not sure why I barged ahead and then was too addled to see that... Sorry Eric!

Furthermore, the libj.so in
http://www.jsoftware.com/download/jengine/raspberry/j32/
is dated 2016-01-08 21:46 so is clearly not a new build.
