Dais made his way to the diplomatic area of the station and reported to the Bajoran consulate. He walked up to the receptionists desk. "Excuse me, I was wondering if I might be able to speak with the Bajoran Ambassador. I am Commander Dais, Executive Officer of the station."
The receptionist looked unimpressed and was about to say something, when a somewhat important looking woman walked up. "Commander Dais, I have been expecting you. I am Loris Staca, the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff. Lt. Thompson called and told me you were coming regarding one of our couriers. Please come with me." she said politely. Dais nodded as he began following her. He was not pleased that he had been schlepped off on someone, but he was hopeful to meet with the Ambassador all the same. As they walked to another waiting room within the Embassy... "Welcome to the Bajoran Diplomatic Mission here at Earth, Commander. the Chief of Staff is with the Ambassador now. He will be securing some time with the Ambassador to meet with you. I am afraid because of his busy schedule you may have to wait a bit, but not too long. It is not often that we have visitors from station command." "I can understand. I am sure that the Ambassador is kept busy by his work," he replied. "As for not having visitors from station command, I am new to the team and hope that that will change. As the new Executive Officers, I would like to get a working relationship with the various consulates on board. I believe that it would improve our ability to serve your needs and help coordinate security.
