"I am sorry, perhaps I can still get this Bajoran dispite your diplomatic
indiscretion." Dais was quickly becoming an unhappy Trill. "I am not sure
how you are planning on blaming Starfleet in this incident, Mister. It is
your job to review incoming materials and persons under the guidelines set
before you. You did not do that. As a result, you have information that
you should not have. The Bajoran came to the station on a Bajoran ship."
Dais glanced toward the Lieutenant to see if there was anything else that
needed to be discussed.

Lt. Thompson had nothing further.

Dais turned back to the two customs officials. "Thank you for your time,
gentlemen. If there is nothing else, then you can go back to your
stations."

The Trill waited until the two were gone before speaking to the Lieutenant.
"I must admit that this is a new arena for me, Lieutenant. I would
appreciate some advice on this matter."
