appointment to see Admirrral Hutchinson. Make aquaintences, and trrry to be
frrriendly. Make surrre that his Chief of Staff and top aides arrre
invited. They may not come, but make surrre that they arrre welcome to
attend. I would also suggest that you not make any changes to the staff at
firrrst. Perrrhaps hint at some changes, but let them talk you out of them.
It will give them a feeling of powerrr, and it will help to disarrrm theirrr
potiential hostile attitudes towards you. Afterrrall, you will just have
taken theirrr advice. It will also prrrove that you will listen to
rrreason, and that you have some trrrust in them. Give them plenty of
opperrrtunity to succeed orrr fail. When they get out of hand orrr too

You will look then be in a good position to deal with the rrrest as a
