I am remaining as Spacedock CO but am leaving Security to head up R&D-we're keeping this office. I am hoping you'll stay as my primary personal assistant-you've worked very hard for me and it means a great deal." (response) "I will be bringing on the former head of R&D's personal assistant as well but you will stand ahead of her/him in the division lineup. You will be my main contact but having her/him here will help foster some calmer heads in R&D during the transition.
