> As luck would have it, Matt's combadge chimed.
> It was Mary Basco. "Dr. Sulin is
> here to see you," she told him.
>
> "Please have her beam directly into Admiral
> Lasiter's quarters," Matt told her.

Carrhae quickly contacted the main transporter room and authorized the
beam-in (ooc. 8-) )

A few moments later there was a shimmer, then a woman began to appear. As
the transporter effect began to diminish, a tall woman dressed in traditional
Vulcan robes.

Matt turned to face the newcomer. <[Welcome, Healer]> he said to her in Vulcan,
managing to contort his fingers into the traditional Vulcan welcome gesture. "And
thank you for coming -and so quickly - on such short notice."

Sulin of Vulcan bowed her head fractionally in deference to Matt's greeting. She
was middle aged by Vulcan standards, very rigid and formal in her posture. She was
one of the five senior educators at the Vulcan Medical Sciences Academy.

"Healer Brennan," she greeted him, "distinguished admirals," she added, her eyes
flickering to Carrhae and Samuel.

"Healer Sulin, greetings," Carrhae replied.

"Your request seemed most urgent, so all due haste was taken. The one
consents?" she asked Matt.

He nodded. "He does, in fact."

Sulin turned to Samuel. "A Vulcan mind-meld is not undertaken lightly, Admiral,"
she told him, "a fact Healer Brennan is well aware of. For him to even suggest it,
i understand there must be extraordinary circumstances at work. I choose not to be
informed of the full depth of those circumstances, I need only to know that this is
something to which you consent. Have you any questions about the contact?"

> "I enter into this with an open mind and open eyes. I welcome this
> joining of minds. May we begin."
>
> "Perhaps you would like to sit and make yourself comfortable," she suggested.

While he did so, Carrhae took a seat to the side where she could get a
full view of the proceedings. She then drew her phaser and glanced down
to make sure it was on stun before palming it. All of this was done so
smoothly that the motions were not noticable.

> Once he had done so, she joined him, pulling a chair to face him. Slowly, she

Carrhae silently watched and waited.
