> Black agreed as well. She was making perfect sense, afterall.
> "Agreed, Admiral. What is the next step?"
"We've got the Caitian battallion coming. Myself and Captain Polath need
to get some morrre SpecOps trrroops herrre. And I have to call Admirrral
Lasiterrr and get a ship forrr Captain Lasiterrr and his crrrew. Rrright
now, until all those things arrrive, orrr at least some of them, we'll take
carrre of ourrr wounded and ourrr dead, question the prrrisonerrs, and see
what we can get. I think rrright now - and I know this isn't what you want
to hearrr, Polath - we need to plan. We can't move forrrwarrd without
morrre inforrrmation. We went afterrr prrrisonerrs to get that
inforrrmation, and now we have them. It's time to get that inforrrmation
and then see what to do. I prrropose trrransferring some of the
prrrisonerrs to Captain Polath's superrrvision forrr interrrogation. Not
only do the Klingons have the rrright to do so, dividing them will cause
uncerrrtainty among them, and that worrrks in ourrr advantage." She also
knew that Klingon interrogations didn't have the same rules as Federation
ones. Letting them have some of the prisoners did not violate
intergalactic or Federation law, and so if the Klingons went a little rough
on them, well, that wasn't her problem or responsibility.
