> "Good day, Dr. Ryan. Admiral Lasiter is ready for you. Please go
>straight in." she said in greeting.

Lucas, who was dressed in civilian clothes, nodded. "Thank you."

>
> Upon entering, Lasiter stands from his seat on the couch off to the
>side in his office. "Dr. Ryan, thank you for coming. I do hope that I
am
>not interrupting your work too terrbily by asking you to meet with me.
>Please sit down." he said as welcoming as he could with a tired raspy
>voice.
>

"Actually, sir, I was out about town, so you didn't interrupt me at all."

Lucas was quite a bit more composed than the last time he saw Admiral Lasiter. It
seemed he'd had time to get used to the idea of being uniquely associated with Dr.
D'amondra.

>ago, but she is well. Recovering in sickbay at her temporary assignment. Admiral
>Markus Garibaldi is with her. I also wanted to let you know that with recient events
>her two children have been brought aboard for their safety. Dr. Brennan is caring
>for them. Please feel free to
pay them a visit if you would like."
>
"Ahhh... thanks, but they have a tendency to cause bruises whenever I see them.
Something about little boys and wrestling," Lucas said, grimacing a

little. "And Captain Terrano left me a message regarding Dr. D'amondra."

He looked askance at Admiral Lasiter, questioning whether Lasiter had called him up
here just to tell him these things.

"I also wanted to speak to of the Venasian People. Captain Terrano has told Admiral
Renaud of a network of sorts that you may be able to access. A network that Dr.
D'amondra had put together. I was wondering if you could pass along a message or or
two for me." Lasiter asked a bit quietly. Testing his response.
