>He looked askance at Admiral Lasiter, questioning whether Lasiter had called him up
>here just to tell him these things.
>
>"I also wanted to speak to of the Venasian People. Captain Terrano has told Admiral
>Renaud of a network of sorts that you may be able to access.

>A network that Dr. D'amondra had put together. I was wondering if you could pass
>along a message or or two for me." Lasiter asked a bit quietly. Testing his response.

Dr. Ryan's face grew guarded. Clearly he was unused to subterfuge. "I don't know
anything about it, sir; I'm just her assistant." He cleared his throat. "But if such a
network *did* exist, I'm sure that Dr. D'amondra would have certain safeguards in
palce - passwords and genetic coding and such - that would make sure the security of
the network wasn't compromised
by frauds and imposters. I don't know what to tell you, sir." As he said this, he drew
out from his pocket a small medical instrument. Standard Starfleet issue, designed to
take blood samples. He looked at Admiral Lasiter, an obvious question on his youthful
face.

"Please continue, Dr Ryan.", Lasiter said to the young doctor.
