She told Naraht via comlink about the budget analyst and auditor and had him submit
the transfer orders. She didn't want him to see her right then because of her damp
fur and red eyes. He might be a Horta, but he had been around carbon-based life forms
enough to know when someone was upset or hurt and she didn't want him to know she'd
been crying.

Then she turned her attention to the report of the secret investigations, reading it
thoroughly, letting her mid focus on work. It took a bit, but she did it, and read it
completely. By the time that was done, she looked somewhat more presentable, and a
bit of work with a brush and damp washcloth cleaned her up to be ready for her meeting
in San Jose. She was still in a fierce mood, though, so she pitied anyone who got in
her face
at the big meeting that night. If she had the time, she would have gone to the
holodeck, taken the safeties off, and beat the crap out of some programmed felinids.
But she didn't have time for that, so she just hoped that this meeting was civil
tonight, or there would be blood on the floor.

The records on the investigation were all in order, and from appearances looked by
the book. They were kept quite secret, and that was still troubling. The report
covered several officers that were rumored to have some shady stuff going on, on the
side. While the investigation confirmed much of that, the big surprise was that more
than a few had earned a reputation falsely. Other officers that were rumored to be
dealing in contraband were dealing with a supply system that was out of control. They
had to deal with the black market to get some basic supplies. While the investigation
did not detail the cause of this problem, it definaely looked as if those responsible
were only a few months away from being caught.

A mild surprise was the number of Starfleet officers and enlisted were actually
involved in activity that could land them in the brig. In total there were over 900
individual names listed that could be charged with one thing or another, and that list
would only grow.

On the lighter side was the number of Starfleet folks actually helping out in the
investigation. More that 10% of those on the other list were also helping the
investigation. From the looks of things, most of the 'helpers' did not know that they
were doing something illegal or against regs, and were onyl too glad to help. Sadly,
others were just too afraid of going to prision not to help.

Also listed in the report was the evidence gathered. From inventories to
statements to recordings from bugs and taps. Forensic evidence was also cataloged.
Lasiter and his people had truely been busy, very quiet, but busy.

She closed the box and put it into her locked cabinet in her office and then headed
out to San Jose to meet at Scott's Grill. She was early, and the waited seated her.
She ordered a drink - she needed it.

She was not there long before Captain Alexander and his boss, Rear Admiral (Sorry, but
I have forgotten her name. Do you remember?), arrived. They spotted the Caitian, and
walked over.

"Admiral Kitanya, thank you for meeting with me." the Admiral said in greeting.
