The two guards looked at each other, then the senior of the pair said, "Try not to
lose your bearings.? Some places are not as safe as others."
? Sam added, "We will try."
? "Thank you.", Dais added to cut the young Lasiter's tone.
Both groups turned and went their separate ways.? The Venasian patrol reported the
contact telepathically as they headed off.?
?? "Find anything?" Dais asked once they had safely moved off.
"Not as much as I would have liked," replied Audra. "Things are definitely secure on
these docks. It is definitley more for military craft than for pleasure craft. I
have confirmed the the ship is in fact the Amdassador's"
"That figures." Sam commented.
"Next steps?" Dais said trying to move their investigation along.
"Well, this is definitely not the place to talk to the general public to see what sort
of information we can get. Even if it were, though, I am not too sure that we would
get too much information. I get a feeling that not only has there been a military
coup, but it has produced a closed military state."
"Perhaps another approach then. We could go to the non-venasian parts of the city,
and check out the locals. Find out what their feelings are of the Venasians. They
may have noticed something of value, and they would definately be more forth coming."
