(ooc: why do i have the feeling that bedru's going to reqret not stating her
concerns about watson?)
{OOC: :) }
> "What would that entail, Sir?" Bedru asked.

"I see," Bedru replied. She looked away for a few seconds. Although she
seemed
to be studying the spectacular view of the Golden Gate, her thoughts were
turned inward. Something told her that she would regret the decision. However,
the assignment should be handled through her office, and she had accepted the
position. She had no choice. Again meeting Lasiter's eyes, she nodded and
continued, "Since the operation has already begun, I will need to be brought
up-to-speed as soon as possible."
"I will have someone from my staff brief you later today."
"Sir, if I may?" The concern was clear in Bedru's countenance. "I could not
help but overhear your,... conversation before I entered. You seemed more
distressed than usual. Have you allowed yourself the time to grieve your
losses?"
"I do appreciate your concern, Admiral. I honestly do. This is not something that
one recovers from quickly, and time is not a luxury that I have in abundance. Thank
you for your concern.", his tone made it clear that this was a personal matter, and he
was not yet willing to discuss it.
