Candance did a final check to make certain that everything was ship shape.
They exited the suite together then separated. Bedru headed to a nearby
transporter room and transported to Star Fleet Command in San Francisco.
Once there, she walked directly to Lasiter's office. "Admiral Bedru to see
Admiral Lasiter," she said to the assistant in his outer office.
The Executive Assistant looked up to address the Admiral, "Admiral Lasiter will with
you in a moment. He is running a bit late.", she said plesantly.

As she waited she could hear Lasiter yelling at someone, who was yelling back. At the
end of the conversation, she could hear...
"Look, you either supply the components that we've ordered, or your contract will be
canceled. The contract language is clear, and this is an emergency order. Spend your
time and energy getting the components together, and not giving me excuses."
Lasiter was yelling at one of Starfleet's many contractors.
The doors to the office opened, and one of Lasiter's aides walked out of the meeting.
The executive assistant spoke again...
"Admiral Bedru, you may go on in."
