Bedru found the report disturbing. What kind of "natural" disaster destroys the sentient lifeforms of a planet, apparently leaving the nonsentient life pretty much unharmed, and completely disappeared within less than an eyeblink on the time scale? That the Federation was willing, no eager, to move the Venasians onto that planet after a single survey that did not answer that question was even more disturbing. Bedru began noting questions that she would ask Lasiter's rep. She then contacted Staek. "Staek, I need everything we have on (planet name). Go beyond the last standard Federation survey report.
