"A question, Commander," Bedru said, "The security presence seems rather high
for a survey of an unpopulated planet. Is this standard operating procedure?"
"No, Sir. The precaution was put into place to prevent the Venasians from
taking the planet by force. Venasian refugees may migrate to the planet for
safety, but they may not plan or base any action against the Venasian
Government from there. The patrol also provides for their safety. As of yet,
there have been zero refugees to take the offer. The offer was made in a
statement at a press conference, it is widely known."
"I see. Do you have preliminary reports from the Diplomatic Council's survey
team? Who is leading that team?"
"No. Their survey has not yet arrived on the planet. I have not yet heard who the
survey leader will be, but I assume it will be Klingon Ambassador as it will be a
Klingon ship that will be transporting the survey team."
"By the way, who the point person on the Diplomatic Council for this mission? I
want to talk with this person today, if possible."
"The point of contact is the Chair of the Council, and that is currently Plantoc
T'Kresh- the Aqualish ambassador."
