Gabe Ares looked up from his console. It was the first time that he genuinely looked frightened. "The energy is moving closer to the cornea. It is starting to look more and more like some sort of weapon."
Suddenly the cockpit of the Runabout filled with light and the screen went blank. The familiar Federation logo filled the screen with a statement indicated the that the transmission had ended.
The footage had been somewhat surprising. Aravis had not heard anything about what she was being assigned to, but it was clearly disturbing. "Have you folks been able to identify the type of energy or radiation that seemed to cause the incident?" she asked of the two scientists who had come with the information.
Lorin watched and listened...this was in the Away Team's court.
McTiernan shook his head. "In fact, the dark spot on Jupiter seems to have returned to normal at least for know. There seems to be no residual radiation or energy signature in the area the Runabout disappeared or in the area of the dark spot. It seems to be a complete mystery."
Aravis' eyebrow raised for a moment expressing her surprise. How could things have returned to normal so quickly. According to the timeline presented along side the presentation, it had taken quite a while for things to develop in changing to the eye. "Are there any other odd emanations or changing going on in the atmosphere of Jupiter or the nearby area?"
