Rilg joined in. "Ambassador Damesh, our attempts are not meant to infringe
on Cardassian sovereignty. In fact, by your own report, Mr. Dulath is a free
citizen so speaking with him would not infringe on your judicial freedom or
political policy.  We just want a guarantee and proof that he is healthy and
safe."

Melora eyed the group. She was trapped and could do nothing to keep this up.
"I can only tell you what has been reported to me by the government I
represent.  Central Command has informed us of its answer. I do not believe
that they will >change their minds about this. Golan Dulath will not be
coming to this station.  That >does not mean that representatives of this
body could not try to go to Cardassia Prime to meet with him in person.  You
are all protected by diplomatic immunity."  It was probably not the response
they wanted, but it was the best that she could do.  It was also probably
the nicest that any of them had ever seen her be.

Watson spoke up again, "Continuing this line of action, which members of the
Council, including myself, would like to be involved in this trip to
Cardassia Prime? Chair Plantoc-I request that you definitely join us."
"I believe that would be appropriate," replied the Chair.  She was about to continue when she was interrupted by the Klingon Ambassador.

"I would also like to come," jumped in Valtris.

"I do not believe that that would be a problem, Ambassador Valtris.  I think before we continue to assign prepresentatives, we should decide on the size of the contingent and see who would be interested in coming.  I am sure that Ambassador Damesh would like to be a part of the delegation.  I am not sure that it would be appropriate to send the whole Council to Cardassia Prime."

(suggestions anyone?)
