"Do you think that this is all happening to spite the Council? I am simply
reporting what I was informed by Central Command. We have not reason to hold or torture Golan Dulath so why should I question what they have told me?" asked Melora in what was not a completely uncontrolled reaction. Valtris slammed her hand down on the conference table and stood up. Her black eyes glared as she stared at the Cardassian. "You are going to have to do better than that, Ambassador. You know what we are looking for, and even you must have had your doubts about the report from Central Command. You have your connections. In fact, your father ran the Intelligence Division of your government. You only had to seek out the truth. Why didn't you?" "Why would I have any reason to doubt what Central Command has told me?" screamed back the Cardassian. The gavel sounded once more to calm things down. "Ladies, let us please take a seat. We are supposed to be hear to discuss problems and find resolution, not start wars," said Plantoc Ra'aj. "I believe that we have the following information: According to Central Command, Golan Dulath is unable to attend a session of the this Council to allay concerns that he is being held a political prisoner; and the Ferengi representative has presented information that indicates that he is indeed being held as such.
In either case," continued T'Kresh as she looked toward Ambassador Damesh, "you have not achieve the necessary component allowing us to confirm the safety of Mr. Dulath. I would like to hear proposals from Council members to rectify this matter."
Rilg raised his hand, "I think we should consider the earlier proposal of requesting that members of this Council be allowed to go to Cardassia Prime to meet with Golan Dulath."
