The deck was a busy one, which was not surprisrising considering that it was one of the floors dedicated to the Promenade. Not far in front of her was the family whose little one had made such a fuss on the shuttle. The hotel was nicely furnished, though it was a typical hotel, with all the pseudo-finery meant to give the place a feeling of elegent comfort, but at a reasonable price. It was a busy hotel, catering to all sorts of travellers. The main desk was busy, but the line kept moving. When Jaime reached the desk clerk, she said, "I'd like a room for a week." She gave a sheepish smile and continued quickly. "I don't have a reservation." The woman looked up at the sound of Jaime's voice when she stepped to the counter. The woman was human, and was somewhere in her fifties. She had "helmet" hair, which seemed to be the style of newscasters for centuries. She smiled. "That should not be a problem, dear. Fortunately, the Apollo Moon Program Convention is over so we have a number of open rooms. Can I have your name please?" she asked as she started getting into the system. (Jaime?) "Are you sure you hadn't made arrangements with us or maybe had a family member do it, dear?" she asked. "I am showing a reservation for you right here. I am just going to need you to sign here and everything is taken care of." The woman extended a PADD with a writing quill for Jaime to use to sign her name. (Jaime?) AJ |
