"I think they have an easy time accepting you in the 'pet' role
because they are used to felinoids being in an inferior role.  That is
what they have always lived with.  They don't have a history of valor to
be proud of like your people do."  Daphne understood how the Caitian was
feeling and hoped to help her
She sighed.  "Thank you, Commanderrr," she said, smiling a little.  "I
needed that."  She seemed to relax a little.

"I would definitely be willing to work those roles as long as you are
comfortable playing it that way."

She nodded.  "It ssseemss the bessst way.  They cannot underrrsstand
equality, sssince they have none in theirrr culturrre.  Ssso we may asss
well give them what they expect."

Daphne nodded.  She was glad to see that the Caitian was willing to work along those lines.  It seemed to be working even though it went against the nature of her species.  Tr'Lawsh was an extrememly dedicated officer.  Daphne had to give her that.

"Perrrhapsss we can do thisss in a little bit?  I could ussse a bite to
eat myssself.  Would you carrre to join me?"
Daphne nodded.  It had been a long morning and she felt that she had built up a bit of an appetite.  "I am glad I am not the only one feelnig that way," she replied with a smile. "I thought it was just me."

(Tr'Lawsh?)
