Daphne couldn't hold back the laugh that this image brought out.
"I guess we can skip the Mak Pagh.  There's a nice steak house called
Houston's that is pretty good.  They serve all kinds of grilled foods."

"That sssoundss wonderrrful!" she said, and began softly purring as she
gestured forward.  "Pleassse, lead on!"  SHe was positively excited at
the thought of real food.

Daphne nodded.  She led the way down the hall.

As they walked, Tr'Lawsh yawned, a jaw-cracking thing that would have
split the face of a human.  "Parrrdon me," she said, looking apologetic.
"I've had little sssleep, and dealing with thossse crrreaturress isss
verrry wearrring."  Again, it seemed like she was actually waiting for
Daphne to forgive her.

"I have to agree with you there.  It is actually more draining then field work.  I have not done much physically to wear me out, but this intellectual sparring is draining me mentally."

"Ssso tell me, arrre you happy with yourrr new asssignment?"  Tr'Lawsh
knew better than to ask about Daphne's previous operations.

"It is different," replied the human before pausing for a  moment.  "It is not what I am used to, but I am adapting.  I know that this is important and I have been assigned to the project.  I cannot do anything but do it to the best of my abilities."

(tr'Lawsh?)

"Well, I didn't say that I would be rather in enemy territory with only my wits and a phaser to keep myself alive," she replied with a laugh.  They reached the turbolift.  The doors opened and allowed them access.
