>"Your office handled the booking for us," Lucas explained. They were not
>exactly travelling incognito, after all. Somewhere on this cruise line
>there were undoubtedly several inconspicuous Starfleet security personell
>tailing them. The booking turned out to be a very nice - one would almost
>say luxurious - suite with two separate bedrooms and a pleasant sitting
>room
>in between. Full amenities, of course, with a view of the beach and
>greenbelt that made up the interior of the ship. "I requested the inside
>cabin," Lucas admitted, "I get kind of sick of seeing stars, and it seemed
>having a sunset every evening would be nice, even if it is a holo-image."
>
>"I think that will do just fine.", Garibaldi siad just taking in the

>"Lucas, how have things been at the lab since word got out that Admiral
>Lasiter's son was killed by Venasian soldiers? I understand that there was
>some unrest?"
Lucas rolled his eyes. "It was nuts. After the coup things were getting a
little unruly, and there were definitely rumors around the Starfleet
compound. And of course all the rumors about General A'amon taking over the
T'kuka and fights breaking out between colonies and whatnot, and the idea
that A'amon ordered the hit on Commander Lasiter. Some people out there
think it's another Cardassian occupation taking place, and they see me as a
'collaborator.'" He flopped into a chair, his unruly hair falling into his
eyes. "Things have settled down somewhat because there hasn't been any new
takeovers or anything lately, but there's still security on the lab.
Starfleet also gave me temporary quarters inside the complex and more
liberal use of the transporters so I can go in and out without being
detected. I've been... discouraged from leaving the compound when General
A'amon visits. Having me away from Earth altogether is even better.
Frankly, sir, I can use the vacation, even if it isn't exactly a vacation.
How is Admiral Lasiter?"
"It is a real shame that people have acted as they have. I would have thought that
they would have learned by now. Perhaps it is only a sign of the times....", he
answered, sadened by the tale. "As for Samuel, well, he is doing as best as he can.
He knows that he just can't take time for himself at the moment, and is holding
together until he can. As soon as he is finished with A'amon, he can grieve. He said
that he is going to Betazed for a while. Staying with friends for a bit, and also at
a private resort. He will do fine. All that he needs is some time for himself, and
time with friends."

"How is Dr. D'amondra doing since her son went missing?"
