"It is a real shame that people have acted as they have. I would have thought that they would have learned by now. Perhaps it is only a sign of the times....", he answered, sadened by the tale. "As for Samuel, well, he is doing as best as he can. He knows that he just can't take time for himself at the moment, and is holding together until he can. As soon as he is finished with A'amon, he can grieve. He said that he is going to Betazed for a while. Staying with friends for a bit, and also at a private resort. He will do fine. All that he needs is some time for himself, and time with friends."
"I thought Dr. D'amondra would have prescribed something like that immediately, instead of letting him stay on the job," Lucas mused.
"How is Dr. D'amondra doing since her son went missing?"
A puzzled look came over Lucas's boyish face. "She's been strangely calm, to be honest. Oh sure, she's been more protective of Ceran lately; I don't think the whole Dominion could get through her to give Ceran a lollipop if it wanted to. But I would have thought she would have torn apart the galaxy to find Jayden. I think she may know something more that she's not sharing. Or, she's just really, really ticked off."
