A small underwater propulsion vehicle broke the surface of the water, sleek
and gleaming, its iridescent surface matching the water's color like
camoflage. Indeed, except for the small hatch that opened and the narrow
boarding bridge which emerge, it was near impossible to distinguish the pod
from the ocean.

Inside was another Venasian male, the pilot presumably. He said nothing,
but when they were all inside and the hatch sealed - it was very cramped but
manageable - he automatically started the vehicle. When they were full
submerged, the exterior lights turned on, illuminating their way. And,
quite suddenly, the walls shimmered slightly and became transparent. Lucas
jumped slightly as a school of aquatic creatures with weird tentacles flew
by them. It was more than a little disconcerting, but the image of what
seemed to be 4 humanoids zooming through water while seated was probably
more disconcerting to the native wildlife.

"The trip is not long," Thomas told them, seeing Lucas's slightly green
face, "And I advise you not to try to retrace your steps. This facility
will be abandoned soon after you leave."

"Don't worry, I wouldn't want to make to make the trip again," Lucas
muttered under his breath.

After a few moments, they were headed directly towards a deep-water reef.
They paled, seeing a solid wall looming up on them, but the pilot gunned
ahead to a collision coarse with it. And then they were past it, in a
concealed tunnel which had been cleverly disguised with a holoimage and lots
of sealife. "Whoa," Lucas breathed.

Eventually they surfaced in an open cavern, a bubble of atmosphere
encapsulated within the reef. There were several Venasians standing guard,
who immediately pointed weapons at the seacab when it broke the water.
Thomas opened the hatch and went first. He said somethign in Venasian to
the guards - a password, apparently - and clambered out as the guards
lowered their weapons. Lucas and Garibaldi followed none too gracefully.

As Thomas led them down a tunnel of what seemed to be a maze, he said vey
little. However, he did say, "We are close to meeting Theran. Is there
anything you require? Freshening up, perhaps?"
