Bedru took a seat and ordered a lemon iced tea.  She started to object to Ael's
offer, but instead she nodded her ascent.  "Thank you, Ambassador."

The tea arrived, and the waiter asked if the ladies were ready to order.  Bedru,
whose appetite had not improved from earlier, ordered some pawpaw tarts.

Ael was quite hungry, so she ordered Eggs Benedict with a side of blueberry pancakes.  Terran food rather agreed with her.

Once the waiter departed, Bedru took a sip of her tea and said, "Ambassador, I
was rather surprised to see that you had taken the assignment to the Council."
Ael arched an eyebrow as she sipped from her steaming hot coffee.  "Indeed?" she asked.  "Because Starfleet Intelligence sees me far more as a 'hawk' than as a 'dove'?" she asked.
