So much said without admitting anything.  Bedru smiled.  "Ah, yes, I'm sure that
they were solely motivated by the wish to see a former colleague freed."  She
even managed to sound sincere, though with no expectation that Ael would
believe that.

"Has this other 'group' considered the possibility that the Cardassians might
not be receptive to the Council's intervention?"
